3/11 – Bon Voyage, One Piece (from TV, anyway)

After nearly 4 years and nearly 180 episodes, One Piece is leaving the Toonami block, with its March 18th broadcast being its final episode to air on television… for now, anyway. And coming in its place, somewhere in the lineup (probably between 1:00 and 2:30am) will be the questionable in quality, but large in popularity, Tokyo Ghoul.

So what does it mean, for the future of the block itself?

Abso-goddamn-lutely nothing.

And… that’s all I have to say about that. Really, nothing else needs to be said, it’s not the biggest deal in the world and it’s nothing really worth getting worked over about. It had a great run of nearly 4 years, it got to Brook’s arc, now it’s time to call it a day.

So… yeah, that’s it. See you next time.
